Best Kept Village 2009 Remember last year - we were runners up? This year the village achieved 93 out of 100, but we did not win! But the Competition Judges Reporting Sheets are worth reading as the villages received many plaudits. Also read where we need to improve! |

Useful to know There's a little know EU law that ensures two year's cover for faulty goods - and not just electrical items. The specific EU Directive is 1999/44/EC. The important clause is this: 'A two-year guarantee applies for the sale of all consumer goods everywhere in the EU. But manufacturers in some countries offer a longer period. You are not required to prove the fault was not down to your actions but you must report it within two months of it happening.' [Item in Daily Mail] |
